Our story begins in Michigan where our founder, Craig Calvert, was born. As he grew up he developed a love for hockey, golf, and upscale dinning service. After moving to Augusta in the mid-seventies, Craig continued his work in hospitality as he managed, opened, and owned other restaurants in the Greater Augusta Area. Calvert’s Restaurant, founded in 1976, has been serving Augusta for over forty years.
Focusing on classic American steak and seafood, a commitment to exceptional service, and staff development, Calvert’s quickly became the destination for any occasion among the local community and visitors from all over the globe. When you visit us, it is easy to find someone dining, or on staff, who have been friends with Craig for decades. It has been our pleasure to be a part of our guest’s celebrations, such as, first dates that turn into anniversary dinners, retirement parties, guest celebrating wins on the golf course, and many more.
