The Sammlung Boros Collection is enveloped in an aura of mystery. Accessible only on weekends and by appointment, visiting this art gallery becomes an exhilarating experience. Situated within a formidable Second World War bunker, the collection resides in a space with a rich and varied history.
Initially constructed in 1942 as a bomb shelter, it later served as a prison, a banana storage facility, and eventually gained notoriety as a club renowned for its S&M fetish parties, until Christian Boros and his family acquired it. The art collection itself is equally remarkable, boasting 159 works by international artists spanning various mediums including sculpture, video, and installation, featuring prominent names like Wolfgang Tillmans and Tracey Emin.
