Canal des Moines, Aubazine, Limousin, France

An exceptional work of the XIIth century of 1.5 km, sometimes dug in the rock, sometimes built in corbelled by the Cistercian monks of the abbey, the channel of the monks runs on the side of rock since its intake on the brook Coyroux. He served fishponds and mills and brought running water to the monastery.
