Pearlie Rohrbacher has been riding since she was 4 years old. Pearlie has dual citizenship (US and Danish), and she grew up visiting Europe every summer. She rode extensively in Denmark and showed in dressage and jumpers there. Pearlie also rode in Pony Club as a child, where she learned valuable lessons about horse management and correct, balanced riding and earned her C-3 rating. She competed in hunter/jumpers in high school and college. She competed in IEL (Interscholastic Equestrian League) for Polytechnic High School in Pasadena, and she also competed in IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Association) for the University of Southern California. She started 3-day eventing in college and has competed up to Preliminary level.
Pearlie works with horses of all breeds and believes dressage can benefit any horse. Her first horse was a 2-year-old Appaloosa gelding named Rubicon. Since then, she has owned and trained a variety of breeds, including off-the-track Thoroughbreds, Arabians, Welsh Cobs, Quarter Horses, Paints, PMUs, and Warmbloods, to name a few!
She has fox hunted and enjoys riding her horses in the open. She believes in cross-training to create happy, well-rounded horses. Although her focus is dressage, her horses regularly ride the trails or go for a jumping session. She continues her riding education by riding with international-level riders and trainers in dressage, jumpers & eventing, such as Jimmy Wofford, Jil Walton, Nick Novak, Lars Holmberg, Sean Cunningham, LJ Banks, Charlotte Bredahl, and Conrad Schumacher. She apprenticed under Grand Prix dressage rider Kristine White for one year. She is currently showing Intermediate I and schooling Grand Prix. With her extensive experience, she is well qualified to help you learn to ride, train your horse, or match you with your perfect equine partner.
