According to company biographies, it is said that it was founded during the civilization years (1469 ~ 1486), and the two gods of Karate Daimyojin and Ushizu Tenno were enshrined in two shrines, but during the Genroku period (1688 ~ 1703), Katsute Myojin was the main deity, the others were the gods of Sugiden, and it is said that they were called Karate Daimyojin, and that they were revered by the people of the suburbs.
Since the relocation of the shrine site under the instructions of the Kishu Domain in the 11th year of Kanei, it is said that it was enshrined at the current location and called it Karate Shrine in the 11th year of Kanbun (1671).
