Hacienda Jacana is an eco-operated, forest retreat and lodge located on the edge of the rainforest in Talparo, Trinidad, Trinidad and Tobago. The wildlife is abundant and the atmosphere welcoming.
The cottages along the perimeter of a pond are named after birds that can be seen on the estate: Gallinule, Lapwing, Nightjar and Woodrail. Each cottage contains a downstairs area where you can host day-guests during your stay. Amenities include Wi-Fi and a small smart TV in each cottage, an entertainment area for small gatherings under the cottages and 2 canoes for use on the pond. A self-sustaining ecosystem exists in and around the pond, including (but not limited to) different species of fish, birds, insects and caiman.
