Since the end of July 2006 Bordeaux has been home to the largest water mirror in the world (3,450 m2). Located opposite the Place de la Bourse, between the Quai de la Douane and the Louis XVIII quay, the mirror of water alternates extraordinary effects of mirror and fog.

Féérie created by the fontainier Jean-Max Llorca , the mirror of water is the central element of the quays of Bordeaux rééaménagée by the landscape architect Michel Corajoud . Other cities around the world, like Quebec City, are studying the construction of similar equipment.
