
Ambassador Jori Arvonen
Finnish Permanent Representation to the European Union
Jori Arvonen is set to become Finland’s Permanent Representative to the European Union as of September 1, 2024. Before this appointment, he was the State Under-Secretary for European Affairs in the Prime Minister’s Office from 2023 and has held various positions related to EU affairs since 2011.
Arvonen has also worked as a political advisor in the European Parliament and as a special advisor to Finland’s Foreign Ministers from 2007 to 2011. He holds a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs and has been involved in international communications and strategic advisories, such as with Miltton Networks.
