Our story starts in beautiful Bali, known as the Island of the Gods. For those of you who’ve visited, you’ll hopefully agree that this place really is a melting pot of beautiful scenery, temples, customs, traditions and of course, wonderful people.
We love art, really love it. Not because we’re necessarily art connosseurs but because we like what we like and there’s nothing more wonderful than seeing something on your wall that just captivates you, that ‘makes’ the room, that people who visit you just want to talk about. Art is a statement of who you are, what you like, the tone you set for yourself and your life. An expression of you, if you will.
What struck us as we were exploring the island was just how much fantastic original art there was when you venture off the beaten track. The work we saw was just equisite, different, authentic in every way. The Balinese are incredibly artistic and creative people and it was so inspiring to see them at work, creating and losing themselves with each brushstroke.
Yellow Brick Road Foundation
Helping local children who are less fortunate than ourselves is part of what The Yellow Brick Road Gallery is all about. Nothing makes us happier than seeing the smile on the children’s faces when they have a brush and some paint to go create.
