Oberkasselerbrücke
As a pure motorway bridge, the Fleher Bridge is the southern link in the rectangle of the Düsseldorf motorway tangents. Above all, traffic from the Bergisch region makes its way here in the direction of Aachen / Belgium / the Netherlands. The release of this bridge meant a significant relief of through traffic in the south of the state capital. The concrete pylon, which looks like an upside-down Y, is characteristic of the Fleher Bridge. The bridge does not cross the Rhine at right angles. In this way, the water catchment area of the old Flehe waterworks was spared.
