Japaratinga Beach, Japaratinga, State of Alagoas, Brazil

Located south of the city of Maragogi, Japaratinga Beach is in the small town of the same name. A quiet town with little more than 6,000 inhabitants, it was a colony of fishermen that dates back to the 1800’s.

Having calm shallow warm waters, Japaratinga Beach stands out for the beauty and nature of its surroundings, a little less than 10 minutes away from Salinas Maragogi. If you are looking for calm beaches, Japaratinga and the nearby beaches
are perfect for you to enjoy a little more of the coastline in Costa dos Corais.

The city is also known for being the location for the movie God is Brazilian, shot in 2003 in Praia do Salgado and in other secondary locations in the city. Only a paradise to be the location for a movie like that, right?

Besides Japaratinga, you can enjoy the several beaches nearby.
Bitingui Beach stands out for its cliffs and several summer houses. At Barreiras do Boqueirão beach, you can enjoy bars, restaurants and its famous mineral springs. Boqueirão, on the other hand, is more secluded. Finally, Pontal Beach stands out for being quiet and that’s where you can take a ferry to go to Porto de Pedras Beach.

Japaratinga is a must-go tour, because you and your family can visit the coastline in Alagoas and enjoy what it has to offer without having to go far from the resort.

Here at Salinas do Maragogi there are several ways to enjoy all the attractions in Japaratinga. Besides collective tours, you can also rent a car directly at the resort or take a buggy ride to get there.
