The Baía do Sancho beach in northeastern Brazil has received the best beach award for the second year running. The Atlantic paradise beat out beaches from Turkey, the Philippines, and Puerto Rico.
Located on the Fernando de Noronha islands in Pernambuco state, it’s also the only Brazilian beach to make it into the top ten. The Baía do Sancho, with its soft, untouched sand, has an exclusive feel to it – at least for now. Visitors can also climb the surroundings to get to the neighboring beach, Baía dos Porcos. Or, tourists can opt to take a boat ride around the islands.
