Monumento aos Pioneiros, Boa Vista, State of Roraima, Brazil
The Monument to the Pioneers is located on the lower floor of Praça Barreto Leite, facing the Rio Branco and Orla Taumanan. The sculpture was constructed in 1995, by the plastic artist and roraimense Luiz Canará. It consists of reinforced concrete, with15 metersWide by 4 in height.
The modeling refers us to the outline of Monte Roraima and talks about the ancient time of the history, having representations of the ethnic personages that arrived here, establishing themselves to the borders of the White River and collaborating with the growth of the city, besides representing the native town of the region.
