The Grange Playhouse is the home of the Grange Players, a non-profit-making organisation registered as a charity. Since our formation in 1951 it has been the company’s aim to encourage the local community’s interest in drama and the theatre through productions that have entertained and stimulated our audiences. The Grange Players is an award winning amateur dramatic theatre company. We have productions in September, November, January, March and May. We perform from our own theatre ‘The Grange Playhouse’. The theatre seats 104 and each production runs for 9 nights (Not Sundays), we perform 5 productions throughout the year. Curtain up is 7.45pm.
We welcome new interested members from age 16 years upwards, to learn theatre skills. Annually we hold several social events, play readings, front of house training, wardrobe, sound, lighting, stage make up, back stage work, props, speech training, acting, directing, set building and painting, in fact just about every aspect of theatre performance. Contact us here, or contact the theatre on 01922 625100 and leave a message. We look forward to seeing you and our Arts Director Rachel Waters looks forward to meeting you!
