Zakopane – a city in the Malopolska province , the seat of county Tatra .Zakopane is the largest urban center in the immediate vicinity of the Tatra Mountains , a winter sports resort , has long been informally called the winter capital of Polish . In the administrative borders of the city it is also a large part of the Tatra National Park
In the years 1977-1994 the village was the seat of the Commune Tatra .As of December 31, 2010.] the city had 26 737 inhabitants and was the second largest after Nowy Targ, a town of Podhale .
