Enigma Code Brakers Monument, Poznan, Wielkopolska, Poland

A monument commemorating Poznań mathematicians and cryptographers-Mariana Rejewskiego, Jerzy Różycki and Henryk Zygalski who broke the code of the German cipher machine Enigma .

Deciphering the Enigma contributed significantly to the defeat of the Germans during World War II. The Allies allowed for very effective tracking enemy troops, ships as well as his knowledge of the contents of communications at the headquarters. The monument was unveiled in front of Poznan Culture Center “Zamek” in 2007.
